Making your stay easier

Q: How can I book?
A: It's easy to book either direct with the hotel (+33 (0) 450 21 05 56), or through online booking agents www.booking.com or www.expedia.com. An email will be sent to confirm the booking (except for when booking through Expedia, although this can be confirmed by the hotel on request).


Q: What facilities are in the rooms?
A: All rooms have en suite bathrooms. They are equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities and a television. Towels and hairdryers are provided. All rooms are non-smoking.


Q: Are there breakfast and half-board options?
A: Guests can choose to stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis, or in high summer a half-board evening buffet option is available (please ask at the time of booking). The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day and includes freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries along with an exciting array of locally sourced produce including jam, honey, cheeses, and free range eggs.


Q: Do you have Wi-Fi access?
A: Yes, all bedrooms and communal areas have FREE wifi access. 


Q: I'm going to participate in a lot of sports activities, what happens if I need medical treatment?
A:  Hopefully this won't be the case! However there is a local drop-in medical centre just 15 minutes walk from the chalet, and there are also a number of chemists in the town. Don't worry, staff at the hotel are on hand to help in any emergency and can provide advice and assistance if required.


Getting to know Megève

Q: How long does it take to travel from Geneva airport to Megève?
A: Megève is just 45 miles, and around 1 hour 25 minutes travelling time, from Geneva's International Airport. 


Q: Where can I find the nearest cash point?
A: There are two cash point machines in the very immediate vicinity, located at the Banque de Savoie and Banque Publique.


Q: Is there a supermarket or store for provisions?
A: There are a few smaller supermarkets in the town, as well as larger Carrefour and Casino stores a little further from the centre. The smaller supermarkets close for an extended break at midday, and on a Sunday, so check opening times with the Hotel Chalet d'Antoine team before setting off!

Q: Where can I park my car?
A:  There is car parking available at the Hotel Chalet d'Antoine. This is at owner's risk


Q: What's the best way to find out what's going on?
A: There's nearly always something going on locally! Browse around this website for lots of ideas. Folders full of handy information can be found in each room. The experienced team in Megève also know the area inside out, and they are happy to offer advice and will help with any bookings. The town's Tourist Office also has lots of leaflets and literature, or take a short walk to see what's available at the Palais des Sports Leisure Centre.


Q: How do I get to the walking and biking trails?
A: The great thing about the mountains is that it's all free, and right on the doorstep! However, for those who prefer a little help getting up (or down!), there are three main cable cars, and a few chair lifts, open during high summer (fees apply).

For the nearest lift at Rochebrune, walk into the centre of the town. The Chamois cable car station is through an alleyway on the left.

The Meg-bus shuttle stops close to the Hotel Chalet d'Antoine and has convenient stops for the Mont d'Arbois, Jaillet and Cote 2000 areas.
